On the 26th of September, we see the return of just about every golf fans favourite event in the sport, The Ryder Cup. The top 12 players from Europe and the USA go head-to-head in a weekend guaranteed to be filled with drama.
The Ryder Cup is split across 3 days, with different pairings and singles matches. The uniqueness of the Ryder Cup comes from the team aspect and multi game format.
Over the course of the weekend, we see Foursomes, Four-Balls and Singles matches, and if someone makes a hole in one in ANY of these matches, we will give a $10 Free Sports Bet to everyone who has a pre-tournament bet on the outright winner market regardless of the current result.
The first team to 14.5 points wins the event. Each match is worth 1 point, and a draw is worth half a point.
The past 5 Ryder Cups have been won by the home team, the crowd being on their side seems to be a huge factor in the event. Team USA is currently the clear favourite, but perhaps Team Europe can finally break the 13-year-old curse of having the fans against them!
